Four ex-Texas Lutheran University football players have been indicted over the alleged beating of a rival two weeks after a game.

The Seguin Gazette-Enterprise reports arraignment is pending for the men charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon resulting in bodily injury.

Years ago Haverford College used the nickname Quakers for their athletic teams. (They are now the Black Squirrels.) Of course the cheer used at the big soccer game with Swarthmore was “Rip em up, tear em up, Kill Quakers Kill.”

Earlham College used to be the “Fighting Quakers.” Now they are the “Hustling Quakers.”

Yet another Quaker cheer: “Fight, fight, inner light–kill, Quakers, kill!”
