This makes me ill. The amount by which this guy exceeded his security deposit is about three years’ worth of salary for a UC TA.
He should be fired, then sued. We’re told that the purpose of a president is to put a public face on the university, and thus to encourage donations. The face that Yudof has put on this university is that of a wasteful spendthrift who didn’t even notice a giant leak in his own house, and–like a rather dim freshman in university housing–failed to note that hanging posters on the walls wasn’t allowed.
