Oh, we saw beautiful cornfields on our way out there, too, francofou — looked like young corn, but what do I know…
And – to make you maybe feel a bit better – Mr UD was totally unimpressed with the place. “We live very close to the National Zoo — a world-class zoo… Why are we wandering around this little park?”
The koi pond was built so that the fish are not far from eye-level. And they’re inches away – as you feed them they’re really right in your face… with all their glistening colors… The effect, for me, was almost hallucinogenic. In fact, I said to my sister: “We should have dropped some acid before coming here.”
cloudminder: My mother was very big (small?) on bonsai – I think I’d enjoy it too…
