  1. MattF Says:

You mean they didn’t have the correct spin-matrix operators (and their commutation relations) memorized? Well, when I was their age…

  2. Margaret Soltan Says:

    MattF: LOL.

  3. adam Says:

I learned a new word – invigilators. It sounds more menacing than proctors.

  4. Margaret Soltan Says:

adam: Invigilators has always sounded like a very very naughty word to me — invigilators are people who put their digits in vaginas…?

  5. Jack/OH Says:

adam, ditto here on “invigilator”. Proctors vs. Invigilators? A 1950s doo-wop group? Fictional elites in an alternate universe?

  6. adam Says:

    Invigilators stalk the aisles,
    Invaginators give you smiles.
Both may be good at what they do,
But please do not confuse the two –
You’ll have us rolling in the aisles.

  7. GTWMA Says:

This is ridiculous. Unanswerable questions make the best exam questions.

  8. Jack/OH Says:

Drag racer working the sweaty collar circuit? “At 1200 horsepower, The Invigilator . . . .”

  9. Margaret Soltan Says:

adam: I appreciate your attempt to clarify the distinction, but I’m still in a fog of invagilating digitators.

  10. adam Says:

Better that, we suppose, than for you to be taken in by inveigling prestidigitators.
