Note: it’s not pimping in the usual US sense (that is, employing prostitutes and/or extorting money from them). It would rather be something like “organizing parties with prostitutes”.
He contends he did not know they were prostitutes; that is, all these young women did not need to be paid to want to engage in sex parties with dirty old men.
