In Australia, growing numbers of people and politicians – like Liberal MP George Christiansen, from whom I’ve taken this post’s headline – are calling for a burqa ban.

dmf: As the Guardian article points out, comparing LePen and Holland is rather absurd, and “a Le Pen presidency is unthinkable.” Still, I take your point. The Front National is doing very well there.
