the sad part is that what she is likely hiding is how she was peddling banal bromides about the needs for data and diplomacy in an interconnected world, leaving open the question of why would anyone pay for so much for so little.

dmf: For me the scandalous reason is that there’s just so much money at these banks, and instead of gaining as well as using it responsibly they’re being greedy shits with it, throwing it at politicians, etc.
I remain a huge Hillary fan, but I’m terribly disappointed that she was willing to stand there and catch it.

UD, isn’t that the rub tho that this isn’t seen as a problem by anyone involved? I think that she (like Pres.Obama)is well intended but somehow missed the fact that industrial/mass-consumer capitalism has largely come and gone only to be replaced by the financialization of what’s left of the big ticket items by the very fellows she not only has been courting but chose to work under her in government, unwittingly or not she is more or less a crony capitalist.
