Funny headline, although if you read the Mediocrevilleburgton Clarion-Tinhorn on a daily basis, you would be inured to such misspellings and wouldn’t notice. The story is alarming, though. Who would guess it is so easy to troll a proffie with the mere sight of the Good Book?

    tp: LOL.

    It’s reprihensible!

  4. Jack/OH Says:

Maybe slightly OT: is it just me, or are there tons of spelling errors that make it into print? The caption ribbon at the bottom of my local TV news routinely has spelling errors, some of them unintentionally hilarious.

Is this noticed by other folks? Is this a computer thing: “I’ll type any old crap and spell check will tidy it up”, except it doesn’t. Another instance of enabling machinery “un-enabling” its supposed masters? Is there a point where spelling errors exact a price in communications credibility? Am I being a cranky fart here?

I’d love to get outraged by this story, but there’s some paint drying in the pantry that’s too good to miss.

  6. Margaret Soltan Says:

Alan: Yeah – I don’t think I even really read the story (blush)…

  7. Jack/OH Says:

Rep-remanded. The fullback was released early into the custody of his agent.

  8. Margaret Soltan Says:

    Nice one, Jack.
