I like a lot of Dershowitz’s positions on various things, but:
“Government authorities should not be allowed to forcibly remove children from their parents, as is being done in Michigan.”
Never? Under any circumstances?
I’m kind of amazed that an actual lawyer would write such an unqualified assertion.
David: And of course so much is riding on that “forcibly.” Whatever does he mean?
Does he mean, like, when parents forcibly hold down their screaming three-year-old daughter and scratch off her clitoris with a stone?
why does anyone have to do anything at all with young girls’ genitalia?
