That is very discouraging. I have long admired Binghamton because they have an established residential college system. They could very easily mark themselves out as a nationally-recognized public Ivy by strengthening and promoting that system, but educational improvement doesn’t seem to be the administration’s concern.
Binghamton has serious free speech issues as well, with a cult-like Social Work program threatening to expel (they call it "advancing") students who criticize department decisions.
Time for some new campus leadership.

Wow. You really have to wonder about a guy who thinks Allen Iverson has been a "model citizen in America." The man got hounded out of Philadelphia (Philadelphia!!!) for his bad manners and bad team citizenship.
