Hitlerian, religiously self-righteous and into sexual threesomes, homophobic, book-burning, and now headed up by a Jan 6 rioter who’s been lying a hot streak to the authorities about the rioting, Moms for Liberty offers madcap comedy that just – er – keeps coming.
Guardino initially told law enforcement that she was at Trump’s rally but, after its conclusion, returned to her hotel room. She later admitted to law enforcement that she returned to the Capitol grounds — and saw no barriers blocking her path and that there was one broken window. She said she did not see or smell tear gas.
Guardino said she entered the Capitol and found it to be “peaceful,” “akin to a tour,” and “open to the public.” She later admitted that this was not a “public tour,” as there were no security screenings or metal protectors, nor was she asked to show identification.
The federal complaint has several images of Guardino entering the Capitol grounds. They also traced her cell phone inside the building — and further photographs of her filming the scene. They also have pictures of her in the mob of people just outside the building.
Around 3:17 p.m. that day, officers closed the window Guardino had entered through and told her and other rioters to exit the building. Guardino complied and left, but images show her re-entering the building at 3:21 p.m. She started filming again but was redirected by law enforcement to leave. She did so at 3:24 p.m.
Law enforcement officials concluded in the complaint that there was “probable cause” that Guardino impeded and disrupted the orderly conduct of government business. There was also “cause” that she “willfully and knowingly uttered loud, threatening, or abusive language once inside the Capitol.” She also remained in a “restricted building and grounds without the lawful authority to do so.”
Now that she’s been arrested, she can transfer the job of lying to her attorneys.
[O]n Wednesday, the Brevard County [Florida] school board held a meeting, in part to discuss a challenge to the books The Kite Runner and Slaughterhouse-Five. Only one Moms for Liberty member showed up.
All the other attendees spoke in favor of keeping the books on the shelves—and heavily criticized the parental rights organization. One attendee compared “the growth of the Taliban and its repressive autocracy in the name of religious nationalism” in The Kite Runner to “the rise of parental rights groups that want to limit what students learn.”
More on the gay threesome/Moms for Liberty couple.
Bridget Ziegler did nothing as [a] board chair during a public comment session back in March when a woman baselessly accused [a gay board member] of being a groomer who endangers children.
“I asked her to shut down the meeting and she refused,” [the slandered member] recalled on Friday. “So the only way I could protect our students and their families in our community from that ugly, homophobic rhetoric was to shut the meeting down myself by walking out.”
After a video of Edwards walking out appeared online, Christian Ziegler—the chair of the Florida GOP—joined his wife in a smear tag team. He tweeted that Edwards is “Tommy Drama,” adding, “If he can’t take public criticism, he shouldn’t be a public official.”

They’re going to … er … go down fighting.

Plus my cock is THIS big.

“As leaders in the Florida GOP and Moms for Liberty, the Zieglers have made a habit out of attacking anything they perceive as going against ‘family values’ — be it reproductive rights or the existence of LGBTQ+ Floridians,” [the Florida Democratic Party Chair] said. “The level of hypocrisy in this situation is stunning.”
Christian has two mommies.
Mommy Bridget, and an unnamed third participant in Christian and Bridget’s threesomes. who’s accusing Christian of rape.
Mommy Bridget runs a book-burning group, Moms for Liberty.
She and Christian hate homosexuality and want all books about it destroyed.
(“Apparently the Zieglers hold that it’s not gay if it’s a three-way.“)
They want those books replaced by books about threesomes.

Meanwhile, Becki and Jerry send their thoughts and prayers.
[Book banning group Moms for Liberty] released a newsletter called The Parent Brigade on Wednesday, which included a quote from Hitler on the front page …
The shtup-positive Zieglers have caused a Pennsylvania chapter of moms for whatever to find another path in life.
Lurid finger-pointing from conservatives is often, as most folks have figured out by now, a form of psychological projection. It hasn’t even been two weeks since the release of a similar story outing a Philadelphia organizer for Moms of Liberty for his 2012 conviction of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy…
Time and again, we have seen this story play out: The self-appointed guardians of everyone else’s sexual morality often have rather exotic sex lives of their own. Just ask Jerry Falwell Jr.
… We can rule out sincere concerns about sexual violence as the reason the Zieglers are looking friendless this week. Republicans do not hold rape allegations, no matter how credible, against their leaders. After all, a court found Donald Trump responsible for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll just this year, which comports with Trump’s previous bragging about how he likes to “grab them by the pussy.” Yet he is still sailing to the Republican nomination.

You remember Dirk.
Doms for Liberty head Bridget Ziegler may be found here hyperventilating about sex toys.

University Diaries. Hosted by Margaret Soltan, professor of English at George Washington University. Boy is she pissed — mostly about athletics and funding, the usual scandals — but also about distance learning and diploma mills. She likes poems too. And she sings.
