...Half a post onward,
All in the valley of Dearth

Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the readers knew
UD at the beachhead lay:
Their's not to make reply,
Their's not to reason why,
Their's but to do and die:
Into the valley of Dearth
Read the six hundred.


Boredom to right of them,
Boredom to left of them,
Boredom in front of them
Seduc'd and sunder'd;
Reduced to a shell,
Boldly they read and well,
Into the jaws of Dearth,
Into the mouth of Hell
Read the six hundred.

When can their glory fade?
O the faithful charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Blog Brigade,
Noble six hundred.
