Kind of a defensive headline, that. Why, when sleazeman Bobby Petrino (put “petrino” in my search engine) has again (this is a return gig) graced the University of Louisville not only with his presence, but with open practices, is everybody staying away?

Do you have any idea what one hundred people look like in a stadium built for 55,000 people?

Kind of like the 20 actual students or so who attend Gilligan basketball games in a 10,000 capacity arena?
Of course, there are a couple of thousand others there. The non-student element looks like a convention of AARP members celebrating their 25th anniversary of joining. We really should change our team colors to white and gray and get a mascot that is meaningful to our core of fans: “Dewey the Defibrillator.”
One of the very few places left where I have strangers refer to me as “son” or “young man.”
