Understanding why the University of Illinois system …

… is one of the country’s least impressive.

Last year, Ron Turner, the Bears’ offensive coordinator, was paid $235,000 by the U. of I. in the final year of a settlement reached after he was fired five years ago — an amount that’s more than the president of Governors State University made.

One Response to “Understanding why the University of Illinois system …”

  1. Stephen Karlson Says:

There is no University of Illinois system, at least none comprehensive enough to include both Governors State and Urbana. Several different universities, several different governing boards, probably different clout lists.

The article makes clear which fields have the most possibilities for using academic qualifications outside the university. Might be worth a post.
