    When my father was still teaching, back before the time when grades were submitted online, the idea was to finish all the grading for the semester, carry them in, and drop dead in the hallway outside the Registrar’s Office with the grades clutched tightly in his hand. That way he would have fulfilled all his duties but still obviously qualify for the double indemnity clause. He would also have left the department time to hire someone to cover his courses for the next term!

    I had a couple of undergraduate classes in which the corpse would likely have been more animated and informative than the living prof.
