these diehards who still revere paterno, who chanted we are penn state as the statue and the plaques came down, they are a pathetic lot. that town remains insular and shamefully unreconstructed.
i wonder whether the statue will re-emerge in a publicly viewable but more remote part of campus, as a sop to the cult.
