Schools that weren’t even cool is correct. Loyola Marymount is one of at least 10 catholic unis/colleges in California. It’s not highly selective, nor singular. If it was simply getting the little darling into any small CA private school, rather than just catholic, there were a dozen more institutions that could have been chosen.
More to the point, Hodge could have contributed to the LMU endowment, had the kid take a few SAT/ACT preparation courses, and that would have been the end of it. Why he did what he did is incomprehensible…
