See, you think the woman fell and skidded; but the person who fell and skidded is the writer. And thus the writer’s sentence falls and skids.

    Reading the whole piece. IMO the meaning was clear. This bit of literary criticism isn’t the first or even the hundredth comment I would make about this incident.
