… a (really well-written) scandal-sheet. Or it might be exactly the sort of clearinghouse for developing stories, and public commentary on them, that strong journalistic blogs are meant to be.
Its target, Clemson University, is already experiencing terrible publicity because of its Animal Farm-based management structure. FITS suggests that there’s more wrong with Clemson than that.
We’ll see.

I have to say that the FITS site hasn’t really ponied up anything at all besides "people at a secret society meeting discussed something, not entirely sure what" since their original strong claims. There’s obviously a lot about the Clemson administration that’s really disastrous, but on this charge, I think the ball’s in the court of the accusers (if we’re going for sports metaphors). If there’s anything at all to the story, they need to get their reporters into the deeds office, get the specifics on this development’s ownership, find out who is in that LLC that is said to be the owner of it, etc.

I agree, Tim; and it’s too bad that the whole language of secret societies has to be used at all… But I guess – based on years of following stories at universities – my gut tells me FITS might be on to something.
