The nationalist firebrand—I think we can safely substitute ‘repellent, gabbling loon’—also said that ‘we’ll all cry tears of blood’.
I am not sure if this is intended to evoke anything specific, or if it is simply intended to make Slovaks think ‘gosh, I’d rather not cry tears of blood’. Weeping blood is usually a miraculous event, isn’t it ?
