“Last Wednesday, Bailey devoted six minutes of his lecture to addressing mounting controversy regarding the incident and articulating his educational intent.”

OK, UD, we know your feelings about Power Point in the classroom. How about powered points?

  2. Dom Says:

    “…attended by about 120 students…”
    “The 600-person course….”

tp: Well, at least they’re not dull.

  4. Jeff Says:

This also made me giggle: “”Everybody’s blowing it out of proportion,” Wilson said. “It’s one small thing[…]”

  5. Margaret Soltan Says:

Jeff: Yes – the article is rife with puns…

  6. econprof Says:

Well, I suppose we will hear a lot more funny remarks during the next few months or so. econprof is not scheduled to give a seminar at Northwestern during the next term – otherwise I would be able to report some snide remarks of Mrs. econprof.
NU is a rich university – so why not invite the spouses of seminar speakers, too?
