… UD figures universities with a penchant for sketchy money guys (Yeshiva had Ezra Merkin too) have instituted Trustee Early Warning systems so they can dump the guys before the federal government moves in for the kill.
Brown University’s TEW system must be going

Nope, no warning sirens that I can hear! All is silent here.

Maybe they’re those special sirens that can only be heard by overseers (overhearers).

For sure! I don’t doubt that there are serious discussions of all this behind the scenes.
Thank you for linking to the list of Corporation members; I hadn’t known it was on line. I think I’ll check all those names against my alumni directory in the near future. There seems to have been an enormous turnover since the last time I looked at the list, back in the days before Ruth Simmons was president. I recognize only one or two names on the current list.
By the way, I have a printed alumni directory courtesy of my children, who are alumni. When I last inquired, faculty were not allowed to obtain a copy for themselves from the alumni association. (This is a telling fact in and of itself.) Nor are faculty given access the regularly updated version that is available on line.
