Good piece. Northwestern sounds still somewhat sane – how long can it last? I’m a little disappointed, though, that the Scathing Online School Marm seems to have allowed her alumna loyalty to interfere with mentioning the misuse of “hocking” for “hawking.”

It’s the sound of that chipper. It may be a happy sound in the circumstance, but it’s got to be distracting!

The chipper, rolling thunder, my neighbors honking at me to tell me “your yard sure looks different now” — there are MANY distractions.
