“In an effort to face the issues at hand, former ASUO Athletics Commissioner Katherine DuPont polled 595 students gauging interest in penalizing students who leave before the end of the 3rd quarter of football games. The response: a resounding ‘no,’ with more than 60 percent of students voting against any punishment.”

Ah, but this is America, where classes are routinely cancelled for football games, but if you so much as leave a game early you may eventually be subject to punishment.

    60% thought it wasn’t okay to punish people for leaving a game early. That means that 40% thought that it was fine to do so. 40%!!!! If this doesn’t tell you how idiotic much of the student body at U of O has become, then nothing will. What’s next, you get points deducted if you don’t binge drink?
