Headline, Louisiana State University newspaper: ‘EMPTY [STADIUM] SEATS REFLECT POORLY ON LSU’

Body of article:

[One LSU student and] many of her friends skipped the game to study for midterms that started Monday.

*****************************

Well, now at least we know what the problem is.

Solution: Stop giving midterms.

  1. JND Says:

I can’t speak for LSU, but at Texas Tech’s Jones Stadium we get treated like criminals, searched by security bozos before entering. I wonder why people don’t like putting up with that nonsense? Cops are everywhere, intimidating the public just because they can.

  2. Margaret Soltan Says:

JND: What’s the policy at Texas Tech stadium about alcohol?

  3. JND Says:

From the Texas Tech football website:

“Is alcohol available for purchase? Can I bring it into the stadium?

“Alcohol is only available for purchase in the club seat and suite areas. It is not available in general seating. Fans are not allowed to bring alcohol through the stadium gates.”

  4. Margaret Soltan Says:

JND: Wow, so you’ve got that heavy police presence even without booze. Once Texas Tech changes that policy, it’s gonna be North Korea in there.
