Soon, if it hasn’t already, the NRA will channel the Mittster, mutatis mutandis: “guns, too, are people my friends.” Perhaps one day, guns will vote or people will get a an extra vote for each of their guns.
I’m a pro-gun guy, and even among pro-gun people, gratuitous, unmanaged open carry and unarticulated or poorly articulated political goals are often regarded as unhelpful to wider recognition of guns as a property rights, civil liberties, and citizen empowerment issue.
