She could have been very
badly bitten.

    I think it looks more like a black-and-red ichneumon wasp.

    I agree that it doesn’t look like an assassin bug, what with that thing coming out of its butt (forgive my scientific terminology).

    But if it *is* an assassin bug, I don’t think you need to worry about it running over and attacking you. Most bites are accidental. The blood sucking assassin bugs on the other hand … are the stuff of nightmares.
