A legendary football player talks Vontaze.

(Background here.) And he does a great job of evoking the game that dominates American university life.

You’re in the heat of battle. Your mindset is kill or be killed. Because the offensive linemen are still coming at you. You’re in war. You’re supposed to be able to be violent sometimes and other times you’re supposed to just be able to take your foot off the gas like that. That is hard, my friend.

I feel for this guy. Do I think he should be fined? Yes. Do I think he should be kicked outta the league? No. I think it is absolutely dead wrong. This guy has handled himself like a pro. And yes, he is a violent mother f’er and I love the way he plays the game of football.

Can’t think of a more appropriate setting for this activity than a university.

Benson Tech High School, in Portland, Oregon, suspended their football season due to not enough kids wanting to play the game. The aggregate number of high school football players fell for a third year. IMO, reason this is occurring is because of men such as Burficit and Romanowski’s. No, football is not war, nor kill or be killed. If your team wins, it doesn’t allow you to turn into Aztecs, and slaughter the other team that lost the handball game.

Along with all that, off season training is year round. Not enough you get beat up during the season, but players are expected to make a large commitment in time and energy for a game that has a huge downside, that being, having to associate with loons like Burficit and Romanowski…

charlie: Then there’s Grinnell, which has suspended their football season because of too many injured players. And as for the loons with whom you have to associate, the real standout here is Richie Incognito, who can never be too insane or violent for the NFL.

  4. charlie Says:

UD, thanks for the link regarding Grinnell football. That’s remarkable, given their athletic history, especially in that sport.

It’s becoming apparent that NFL = No Frontal Lobes. Your buddy Richie may be an indication of that…
