After getting knifed to bits by terrorists both of whom were, for some reason, on early release from prison…

… the British are beginning to think this might not be the best way to manage your local ISIS enthusiasts. I mean, jailing the little fuckers to protect your population, but then pretty quickly letting them out of jail, and then monitoring them so that when they do – pretty much right away – start killing people, they don’t kill too many, cuz the cops are following them day and night… Does this strike you as efficient, economical, rational, safe? To be sure, you always ending up killing the terrorist; but is this outcome worth the injury and death?

How about this. First, try stripping them of their citizenship (if they’re citizens) and getting them out of the country. Italy’s been doing this with their terrorists, and funny how you rarely hear about Italian terror incidents, si? If you can’t get rid of them, keep them in prison until they’re too old to get an erection, let alone mount a terror attack.

You really are in a panic about this, aren’t you? The article about Italy says they’re deporting non-Italian citizens — do you have evidence that they’re stripping Italians of citizenship and throwing them out?

The article also makes the point that the Italians have lots more police than the British, which sounds an awful lot like the solution (the cops following people day and night) that you denigrate as inefficient on the British side.

Finally, of course, I note that the biggest factor in both Italy and Britain is the tight gun control laws, which has limited the casualties in individual terrorist attacks quite effectively.

I love the image of two or three policemen/policewomen escorting early-release probable terrorists day and night through the streets of London. A kind of permanent plain-clothes retinue for our VIPs.
