‘”I can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down,” [Anthony] Fauci told Science Magazine on Sunday after being asked about Trump’s repeated assertions that China could have disclosed the discovery of the coronavirus up to four months ago. The disease first appeared in the central city of Wuhan in December.’

Eventually, everyone who voted for him will be cited for criminal negligence.

  1. Ravi Narasimhan Says:

How long before Dr. Fauci resigns or is fired?

  2. Margaret Soltan Says:

Ravi: And is replaced by Ben Carson.

  3. theprofessor Says:

According to the World Health Organization on Jan. 14, there wasn’t evidence of human-to-human transmission of the Wuhan coronavirus; after all, the Chinese authorities had told them so.

    Oopsie.

  4. TAFKAU Says:

“It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle–it will disappear.” Trump, Feb. 27

    Double oopsie.

  5. theprofessor Says:

Why, here’s NYC City Councilman, Mark D. Levine, Chair of the NYC City Council Health Committee on Feb. 9, when all the experts and non-deplorables had already understood the grave nature of this threat:

Why, here’s NYC Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot presciently sounding a warning about Wuhan coronavirus back in February:

Gee, here’s the Lt. Governor of the Great Graftocracy, I mean, State, of New York, likewise sounding the alarm:

Lots and lots and lots more out there, showing how the experts and nice people and non-deplorables were right on top of this.

  6. TAFKAU Says:

Uh…yeah. I’m not sure how time works in your world, tp, but last I heard, February 27 happened a full (a *very* full) 18 days after February 9. Anyone could have–and often did–underestimate the danger of COVID-19 in early February. However, it took a stable genius to display that level of ignorance just before the beginning of March.

Also Great Graftocracy? Really: a Trump supporter complaining about graft?
