It’s a missed opportunity, with the Democrats owning the corona shutdowns and the closed schools and the urban unrest. All it takes is a Republican voice of some responsibility, but arguably a unicorn might be more easy to find.

A Bain Capital type with a penchant for unforced errors such as “47% dependent” and “severely conservative” is not the kind of strong voice to argue against High Postmodern Authoritarianism.
