Despite that, or perhaps because of the Trump endorsement, she won her party primary. The Combine merged her district with another Republican district, and the other guy took the loss.
The Combine has also been circulating advertisements (my mailbox filled up with them) to the effect that Darren Bailey was too Trumpy for Illinois. Guess who won the gubernatorial primary? (It’s probably too early for the boffins to crunch the numbers and identify the crossover votes in Illinois’s open primaries.)
If you don’t have reason enough for either soothing tea, or strong drink, Mike Leach also got a contract extension yesterday!

Stephen: LOL. I have no illusions about the modern Republican party, and I think stories of Trump’s violence – not to mention Mike Leach’s notorious physical abuse of players – only strengthen its adoration of Trump/Leach. Republicans dig violence. “[F]or Trump’s base, violence is what helps make Trump their guy.”
Still – it’s a very mixed picture.
