University Diaries. Hosted by Margaret Soltan, professor of English at George Washington University. Boy is she pissed — mostly about athletics and funding, the usual scandals — but also about distance learning and diploma mills. She likes poems too. And she sings.

So, a B-school grad is accused of fraudulently running a company purportedly helping clients from being defrauded by university loan mills. Where’s Kafka when youse needs him???

As an aside, my step daughter accumulated $147,000 in student loan debt for a BA in Photography. From UC Santa Cruz. A public uni. Unbelievably, two weeks ago, she had it all forgiven!! Might have to do with her mom, my ex, being a medical social worker. Whatever the reason, she now has a future. As much as I love her, it’s straight stupid to have that much student loan debt from a CA public uni. And, it’s criminal that a public uni would facilitate that manner of debt slavery. How many millions have similar stories to tell, and how many are susceptible to grifters promising student debt relief??

OK. I’m an old fart, but I really love this.
