Marc D. Hauser, a Harvard psychology professor who took leave after University investigators said he was responsible for scientific misconduct, will teach two courses at the Harvard Extension School this academic year even though he is facing a federal inquiry.
Way bad call. This is a swiftly moving story, its latest charge fabrication of evidence. Things could get worse still. Having Hauser on your active teaching faculty communicates cluelessness as to the seriousness of the case against him.

“Without knowing the exact specifics of the case, what I would say is if you want to chase someone out of the field forever, that doesn’t seem like the right idea,” said Michael S. Landy, a psychology professor at New York University.”
This quote seemed peculiar and perhaps loosened from context. I don’t think preventing him from teaching at Harvard while he is facing a federal inquiry would come terribly close to chasing him out of the field forever. It smacks of Cardinal Fang fetching the comfy chair.

Bring out… THE TENURED POSITION AT HARVARD!

Hauser will teach Psychology E-1153: “Cognitive Evolution” this fall and Psychology E-1006: “The Moral Sense: From Genes to Law” in the spring.
Hmm…
Kind of reminds me of our own Dr. Polly, who lectured about conflict of interest in our mini-medical school, until someone blew the whistle about his own conflicted position(s).
Too be fair, unlike a lot of these clowns, Hauser seems to have manned up. What are we going to do? Stone him?

First, we have to see if he weighs as much as a duck.
