    I have to admit I had a thought like that too, francofou. And I rather like Houellebecq.

    There’s a fourteen year old boy in me, francofou, who likes – or maybe just finds fascinating – disgusting things.

    For instance, like Andrew Sullivan, I like South Park – I mean, the little I’ve seen on YouTube. I’d probably hate it if I watched it all the time on tv.

    I just think he’s a mediocre novelist, a poseur, and a phony. Just my nuanced view. The French novel, like the rest of French culture, is in dire straits.
